I am trying to use this at my off grid cabin - found it does not work at a remote socket approximately 30 feet from the batteries. Finally discovered that it does work when I plug it in closer to my battery bank (which is six 6 volt batteries in series and parallel to make output of 12 volts.) Not sure why that is as the battery bank is quite strong and wiring is AWG 12. Anyway it does work and I am happy- confident I can solve the distance problem -
