AirSense 11 Setup Guide: Getting Started with Ease

AirSense 11 Setup Guide: Getting Started with Ease

You have only recently purchased your new Airsense 11 and it is understandable that you feel a little bit confused as to how to go about the setup in the right way. It is an advanced and modern CPAP machine, yet the procedure does not necessarily have to be complex. Knowing some basic stuff, you will be prepared to begin using it and sleep better. Airsense 11 aims at making your therapy easier and automatic hence going by steps will ensure the entire set up is simple.

Unboxing and Getting Familiar

When you open the box, have a glance at all that comes with it. Typically you will find Airsense 11 device, the power cord, tubing, a chamber of water, and your mask. And do not hurry up, plug it in. It is preferable to feel the way each of the parts leads. The interactive screen is; it is touch sensitive and quite easy to use. There will be a large start/stop button and that will be your primary control when all is installed.

Find a flat place in close reach of a power outlet close to your bed. Place the machine in a flat surface allowing free air circulation. The Airsense 11 has small vents thus ensure that they are not blocked.

Attaching the Tubing and Mask

After you have located a good place, you should hook up the air tubing into the back port of the Airsense 11. It usually clicks in easily. Attach the other end with your CPAP mask. Creating a check to ensure that the tube is not twisted or leaking is good. My therapy may be more efficient, but since the connection is loose, it lowers the pressure.

The selection of the suitable mask is also important. The Airsense 11 is compatible with most types of masks, and thus find one that fits well on your face. When it is too tight or too loose you may hear air escaping or feel uncomfortable at night.

Filling the Water Chamber

Airsense 11 has a humidifier system that makes it one of the best. It assists in avoiding nasal and throat dryness during the use of the machine. On the side there will be a removable water chamber. Add clean, distilled water- do not use tap water because minerals may accumulate, as time goes on. It has a max fill line, and it is not to exceed it. Then simply put it back in until it clicks.

Powering Up and Basic Settings

At this point, connect the Airsense 11 and turn it on. Screen will be lit and it will take you through the initial set up. You are able to customize your favorite language, time, and the light intensity. Your doctor or sleep therapist has already pre-defined most of the therapy settings such as pressure level. Nevertheless, it is possible to experiment with such comfort options as the ramp time and humidity level. The ramp feature begins with a lower pressure that progressively rises when you fall asleep and hence it is easier to breathe at the beginning.

The touchscreen is easy and you will soon get used to menu operations. The machine also reminds of the need to change the filters and clean the machine, so you do not even have to think of the details.

Getting Comfortable with Nightly Use

Once everything is prepared, put your mask on, lie down and press the start button. The Airsense 11 will start automatically. It is only natural to feel somewhat awkward in the first few nights, but you have to be patient. The breathing of air and pressure will change and soon you will begin to breathe it naturally.

When you wake up parched or painful you can ever just adjust the humidity or tube temperature a little until you feel comfortable. Such minor details such as condensation or leaks should not be overlooked as they can be easily corrected and they make a huge difference.

Maintaining Your Airsense 11

After you start using your Airsense 11 on a regular basis, it also needs a minor cleaning procedure to maintain its functionality. Fill up the water tank and empty it each morning, and dry it. Once in a week, clean the mask and tubing with mild soap and water. These small steps will assist in the prolongation of the life of your device and maintain your therapy hygienic and safe.

It may take several days to become accustomed to using a CPAP machine, but the Airsense 11 is the smoothest experience to date. It is silent, intelligent and is created to bring the feeling of rest to your nights. And in a small amount of time spent in construction and day-to-day maintenance, you are sure to feel how well you will sleep and how much energy you will have in the course of the day. The Airsense 11 is not a mere device, it is a device that assists you to have an easier time breathing and live a better life.
